You can find copies of the advisories sent to users of Super SIM & Programmable Wireless about the transition of Twilio IoT team and infrastructure to KORE .

KORE acquired Twilio's IoT business unit ("Twilio IoT") on June 1, 2023. This was in March 2023.

Don't worry though! Until comparable experiences are available through KORE, you will continue to use the Twilio Console and APIs to order SIM hardware and manage your devices and connectivity just like before. Additionally, we plan to continue to release new features, accessible through Twilio, while we transition our team and infrastructure to KORE.

As we get closer to enabling you to manage your , , and Programmable Asset Trackers (collectively our "IoT products") through KORE's Console and APIs, we'll send out announcements so you can begin planning any changes you need to make.

We're excited to see what we can all build together.

If you have any questions, please contact or .

First Step — Create and Link your Accounts

UPDATE (February 2025): Account linking is no longer required, you can now signup directly through KORE, see our document on .

If you are using Super SIM or Programmable Wireless, you will need to first create a Twilio account, which you will then link to a KORE account. You will launch the KORE account creation process from the Twilio Console so that we know which accounts to link together. Your usage of these IoT products will be charged to your KORE account even though you will manage them through Twilio's Console and APIs for now. You can follow this to create and link your accounts.

And if you don't have a Twilio account yet, you can .

You do not need to upgrade your Twilio account to use IoT products. You can leave it as a free trial account. But remember, you must keep your Twilio account active and in good standing to be able to access the Twilio Console and APIs you'll need to manage your IoT products. All IoT product usage will be billed to your KORE account regardless of your Twilio account status.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

While the Twilio IoT team and infrastructure transitions over to KORE, some IoT product functionality has been limited for users that do not have a contract for services in place or are actively engaging with our sales team. If you find your experience with our IoT products too restrictive and you need to be able to order more SIMs or use the limited features to their fullest, you can and the limits can be lifted.
