More on Super SIM and Programmable Wireless Migration to KORE - December 2024
The following advisory was sent to customers using Super SIM and Programmable Wireless on December 23, 2024.
You are receiving this message because you use Super SIM or Programmable Wireless and received our previous update on our migration to KORE in November 2024. In our last update in November 2024, we communicated some upcoming changes in December and January that we want to provide additional updates on.
Further Extension for Using the Twilio Console
Previously, we communicated that we planned to release the KORE Programmable Wireless Console by December 20, 2024, and that you would no longer be able to use the Twilio Console to manage your Super SIM and Programmable Wireless SIMs after January 15, 2025. We’ve adjusted our timelines and now plan to release the Programmable Wireless Console by January 20, 2025. As a result, you can continue to use the Twilio Console until February 20, 2025. However, we encourage Super SIM customers to use the KORE console for SIM management at this point. Learn more about migrating to KORE Console here.
Reminder: New Status Page for Super SIM and Programmable Wireless Incidents
As communicated previously, as of December 20, 2024, we have fully migrated to only posting updates about incidents for Super SIM and Programmable Wireless on KORE’s status page. We will no longer post any information about incidents to Twilio’s status page; however, you can still find information about past incidents there. Be sure to update any process guides on your end to check the KORE status page for issues going forward. You have the option to subscribe to notifications to get real-time information about any future incidents. Refer to this guide for more details on how to use KORE’s status page and subscribe to incident alerts.
OpenAPI Specification Files Published to GitHub
If you are utilizing our APIs for SIM management, note that on December 5, 2024, we published OpenAPI specification files to GitHub for both Super SIM and Programmable Wireless. These enable you to generate API clients for your preferred programming language. We’re still in the process of writing end-to-end examples demonstrating how to generate, install, and utilize the clients to make calls to our APIs. If you aren’t already familiar with generating clients from OpenAPI specification files, you should be able to find guides and examples online for your programming language. Alternatively, you can consult an AI tool like ChatGPT to guide you through the process of generating the clients from the OpenAPI specification file and including it in your code to begin testing. If you encounter problems using the generated clients or receive unexpected errors, please contact our support team as further modifications to the specification file may still be necessary.
