# Invite developers to build against the API

API development requires access to the Developer Portal. Two methods are available, both requiring a [user invite](https://docs.korewireless.com/iam/users#user-invites).

1. Invite the user as an `Admin`
2. Or, Invite the user as a `Developer`

Inviting the user as an admin grants them access to [global resources](https://app.gitbook.com/s/0ydryXnnBZcpfzlfF36e/api-management/api-clients#global-resources) and [products](https://app.gitbook.com/s/0ydryXnnBZcpfzlfF36e/api-management/api-clients#products). This is a very trusted role.

On the other hand, inviting a user as a developer grants them access to [products](https://app.gitbook.com/s/0ydryXnnBZcpfzlfF36e/api-management/api-clients#products) only.
